No brainer!

Are you a massage therapist in need of attracting new clients? Tired of hurting yourself doing deep tissue massages? Live in an area where clients would love for you to melt away their tension and knots (isn't that every LMT?)?

Then taking our bamboo-fusion class is a no brainer. Spend two days of hands on (receive for 3 hours a day!) learning to treat your clients to one of the most therapeutic and relaxing massages they may have ever had. Learn to work the fascia, loosen tight muscles and reduce therapist strain in this amazing 16 CEU class for the massage therapist who wants to work smarter.

Conveniently, I have a space available in my class next week on Thursday and Friday in Cincinnati. The cost of the bamboo massage class is $399 and includes the bamboo tools as well as the educational DVD. http://www.affinitymassages.com/ has more information about the details!

Information about bamboo massage tools

The advantages of using heated bamboo for massage are plentiful. The heat of the bamboo penetrates quickly into the client's skin and muscles, bringing an extreme sense of relaxation as well as blood flow to the area being worked. This allows the therapist to sink in deeply more quickly, making the massage more effective. The heat of the tools, combined with the therapist's hands, don't feel like tools--more like really warm hands. Using tools helps prevent injury to the therapist. The tools are easy to heat up and quick to clean. They are also easily portable, making them ideal for the therapist who does house calls.

Our Bamboo-Fusion massage table kits are made from solid bamboo, not hollow. Having a solid set of tools allows the heat to remain more constant and it stays warmer longer. Some other kits sold may use hollow sticks and are not as durable nor do they maintain the heat that these sets do. No matter where you decide to purchase the bamboo tools from (and we hope it's us), make sure you purchase from an authorized Bamboo-fusion retailer.

As you shop for your massage tools, look to those who sell only the best. Buy from us and receive support for your tools as Mary-Claire Fredette is an authorized instructor in Bamboo-Fusion. She can answer many of the questions you may have concerning the modality as well as the care and use of the tools. Other places do not offer that as they only sell the product. We use the products we sell every day.

It's that time of year again, when the weather has turned colder and many of the leaves have fallen off the trees. Clients are cold, you're cold, and you need to get warm.

Enter massage with warm bamboo tools. Our authentic Bamboo-fusion solid bamboo tools are heated to perfection and are used alongside the therapist's hands to give an awesome massage. Clients love the heat-how it feels and how it relaxes them so quickly!

You love how easy it is to loosen them up. And you'll never have cold massage hands again.

Photo Bamboo-fusion tools

Bamboo warm table toolsThese solid bamboo tools are complete with the Bamboo-fusion authorized logo. Don't be fooled by cheap imitators. We offer a 6 month money back guarantee on the product against defects in workmanship. Does any other retailer of bamboo massage tools offer that? (I've checked--some are final sale only).

You can purchase your beautifully  made bamboo tools (which are solid, so they retain heat well) online at www.affinitymassages.com/bamboo_products .

Bamboo tools available online

If you're looking for a new way to warm your clients this cool season, maybe you could think about trying Bamboo-fusion. Although I do offer classes every other month in Cincinnati (you can check the schedule online at http://www.affinitymassages.com/) , some people don't have the ability to take time off for a continuing ed class.

Hence, I sell Bamboo-fusion solid bamboo tools online. www.affinitymassages.com/bamboo_products
is the link for checking out our products. You can purchase the bamboo tools as a set of 8, and the set includes a demonstrational DVD.

The best part of purchasing bamboo fusion tools from me is that shipping is free! That's right--all bamboo-fusion products currently are available from Affinity Massage Studio for the minimum price authorized dealers can sell, but you get free shipping (in the United States only).

Time to heat up your clients!

Now that the weather is taking a turn for the cooler, at least here in the Midwest, it's time to think about keeping your clients warm. What better way than to give them a massage using warm bamboo tools?

Easy to heat, simple to clean, Bamboo-fusion massage is a perfect way to give a great massage. It's basically the quickest way to get your client to "bliss out!" Most clients just think the therapist has super warm hands, but the therapists love the way the bamboo feels and makes massage easier!

For more information on Bamboo-fusion warm massage, you can check out my website, http://www.affinitymassages.com/bamboo_products. I've got pictures and more. One space remains in our October class. (It's a Saturday, Sunday gig.)

The beauty of bamboo

As a side note from my usual self promotion of my classes, etc., I'd like to chat for just a moment about the amazing natural beauty of bamboo.

It's hardy, growing in many different environments. Bamboo grows rapidly and is self sustainable. Beautiful floors can be made out of bamboo as well as baskets, lampshades and even articles of clothing.

So why do I like my bamboo tools? They're sturdy, retain heat well. The product used is easily replaced by more rapidly growing bamboo (unlike stones for hot stone massage). And clients love, love, love it!

New Bamboo products

I got in a small portion of my backordered bamboo and was able to send it out yesterday. It is unbelievably gorgeous. So smooth, it'll glide perfectly on the client's skin while the massage therapist effleurages and frictions the bamboo tools.

http://www.affinitymassages.com/ has class dates and details. I do have a couple of bamboo table sets in stock that can be sold.

Why bother with CEU classes?

Taking a massage class (or more!) shouldn't be done just because you need the CEUs for your national certification or insurance renewal. Many massage therapists get in a rut of doing the same thing over and over again. Their clients are happy with the massage, so why bother learning something new?

Are you looking at the clock during your session wondering if it's stopped? Do you have the tools you need to do a great massage? Not physical tools, but skills learned through class or from another massage therapist? If you like work but don't love it anymore, perhaps it's time for a change.

Yes, classes can be expensive. Can you really learn the hands-on skills needed for massage either online or out of a book? Maybe with some things you can. But taking a massage class can really renew your zest for your work again. You'll probably learn a thing or two that you can add to your massages. And maybe your clients will tell you afterwards, "That really was the best massage I've ever had!"

Class schedules and descriptions of the classes I teach are here.

Groupon for Massage

Ever hear of Groupon? It's an online company that works with business to offer their services for usually a huge discount.

Here's how it works:
  • The business decides what product it wants to offer and for what price. For instance, I would offer a special for a massage with paraffin dip for 50% off it's regular price.
  • The business sets up a minimum of coupons it needs to sell for the coupon to work. It can be 10 coupons, 25, whatever. If that minimum is not met, there's no deal.
  • The purpose of that is that the massage company, spa, etc. will have those who WANT the coupon to advertise it on Twitter, FB, MySpace, etc. so that others will see it and hopefully buy it.
  • If the minimum number of coupons are sold, "The Deal is On!"
  • Coupons are good for a year.
I have been invited to be one of the first massage companies in Cincinnati to have a deal on Groupon. The trick is trying to figure out what deal to give! Remember, I'd offer 50% off a regular service.

Any ideas would be welcome! Email me at fredettemassage@fuse.net.
For a list of massage services currently offered, check out http://www.affinitymassages.com/ and click on the Massage Therapy tab.

Don't forget that you can now book Cincinnati massages online on my website!

Warm up your clients, Michigan therapists!

Now is the time, if there's ever a good time, to think about warming up your clients with hot bamboo massage. Here in Cincinnati, it's about 16 degrees, with the high this week looking like 27 on Wednesday. This is Farenheit, not Celcius!

I'm heading up to Ann Arbor, MI in 2 months to teach  bamboo fusion to 8 therapists bright enough to learn the way to treat your clients well in this clime is to heat them up! The schedule is on www.affinitymassages.com/bamboo_classes. Bamboo-fusion massage training is 80% hands on. You'll love the class--bring on the heat!

Let me know if you have any questions! I'm going to be working on direct email this week, and I'll be happy to put you on the list if you email me at fredettemassage@fuse.net .
